What should I record before a backup?
In chat backup settings, confirm the latest successful backup, cloud account, number and available storage. Keep encrypted-backup recovery credentials yourself; do not share them with consultants.
Why can’t my new phone find a backup?

How do I validate a migration?
Keep the old phone until you have checked important chats, dates and media on the new device. An exported transcript can be an archive for reading; it is not a verified app-restoration backup.
Can a backup reverse an account ban?
Backups and account reviews are separate processes. Do not delete your account or overwrite an existing backup to try to fix a ban. Resolve the account issue through official channels, then follow the available restore process.
